Kingdom Faith: The Law of The Spirit!

Grace to you Kingdom Citizens and peace be multiplied to you through the revealed knowledge of His will with all spiritual understanding. Jesus is Lord and King and I am so glad to know Him as such. Please allow this letter of kingdom faith to speak to you so that you may do what your hear in your heart by the Holy Ghost.


The great thing about writing what you believe is that you gain more understanding to help establish you in that thing you believe. I know now that the Kingdom of God has been a missing link in my walk of faith in God and that being able to share it with you allows me to chronicle my path. I trust that you will see into this marvelous wisdom of God as it has cleared up so many questions that I had and has truly put me at ease about the will of God and the path I am on.


Last month we talked about defeating bad attitudes or dispositions when going through a faith trial, temptation or test. You can defeat the attitudes that lead you to drugs, low self esteem and even suicide. As I watch these great personalities choose suicide instead of life I can’t help but think that if they knew who they really were and what they have been empowered to do with the access they have they would have never chosen or allowed drugs, alcohol or depression to dominate their thought life. They would never even allow the thought of suicide to creep in. They would take what they know in Christ and slam all the vain thoughts and make them (those vain thoughts) obey the king of their salvation and embrace the power from within. Joy of the spirit would rise to the occasion and the passion of The Christ would convict their heart. With all heaven backing that passion the Holy Ghost would cause them to stand erect and walk worthy of the Lord with all pleasing. You now know something. You know that greater is He that within you is greater than he that is in the world.


Paul was dealing with some pretty hard issues in his life and had come to the realization that he was powerless to change what was going on. What he wanted to do was that which was right but he found himself not being able to perform it. The things he wanted to stop doing, because they were wrong, he found impossible to perform. He couldn’t stop doing the bad things and couldn’t keep doing the good. Know anyone like that? Just look straight ahead and no one will know it’s you. This is the predicament many of us find ourselves in.


“But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time.” Romans 7:17-20 | MSG


Paul knew that the problem was the power of sin in him kept sabotaging his best intentions! This is the point most people who quit don’t realize. They never know that the sin that they commit and the person who committed the sin are two different things. You are not the sin you commit. You are the person that did it but there is a power inside of you pushing you to it. Jumping out of a window hanging yourself, or taking too many Oxy’s won’t make that go away. The enemy will have you thinking it will though if you don’t watch out. Paul found out, and I hope you do too, that there is at war within us two natures. The nature of the flesh and the nature of the spirit. The will of our minds and the desires of our bodies (which is called the flesh) bond together to war against your spirit. Paul realized that he didn’t have what it takes to overcome the power of the flesh. Paul knew that something had gone wrong deep within him and it got the better of him EVERY time. Drug addicts don’t realize this either so they figure that once an addict always an addict. Wrong, very wrong! In yourself yes, but that’s not the truth! You can’t will this away all by yourself. Your will is involved but it’s powerless without the help of the law of the spirit of life! What is that law? I am glad you asked. That law is called the “Law of Faith.”


“I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?” Romans 7:24 | MSG


Then Paul realized the answer:


“The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.” Romans 7:25 | MSG


It doesn’t matter what the handicap is or how long you have been in the mess there is still more power in the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus than any chaos you can ever be in. It doesn’t matter if it’s sugar or crack, alcohol or meth, heroin or cheeseburgers; if it has you out of control it’s the flesh that is the problem. You have to yield to Romans 7 and obey and walk in Romans 8. To yield and obey is the doorway of success against any chaos going on within you. You just have to go beyond belief until you know! You must go beyond simply reading the Word of Life. You have to rehearse it out loud with your mouth. Meditate on the Word that covers your case day and night so that you can make your way prosperous and have good success. That is the law of the spirit in action….the law of faith.


One thing I need to add at this point and that is that the law of faith must be in Christ Jesus and not in the promises of Christ. The promises are great but faith must be in the God of the promises and not in the promises of God. He demands that He must be first in all things. God sees the big picture and we see in part so we must trust the God who sees all and knows all and can control all. If we yield to God and obey the law of faith we can override the law of sin and death.


“And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.” Joshua 1:8 | MSG

The KJV says: “Let not this book of the law depart from thy mouth.”


Your will must yield to your mouth as long as your mouth speaks God’s Word. Don’t say those five dreaded words of the one who gives up: “I wish I could die.” Say these Words instead… “I shall not die but live and declare the salvation of the LORD.” Depression doesn’t have anything on the law of the spirit of life in Christ! Depression is just a stronghold of reasons that surround a thought of negativity. The light of God’s Word will destroy those reasons and expose what really is behind depression. Thoughts of negativity can’t stand against the commands of the King Lord and as His representative you have permission to wield your authority in His name. The enemy doesn’t want you to know who you are and what you can do! Tell that ol’ depressive spirit that ‘The joy of the Lord is your strength’ and say it again and again as you go throughout your day! You will begin to see results by faith. Jesus Christ is Lord and His kingdom will take great care of you. You are a citizen of His kingdom and you have rights and privileges. Religion will smother you and kingdom life will free you. Read what your king says about truth in His kingdom.


“Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.” John 8:31-32 | MSG


This is not religion! This is obeying the king who has power to fulfill every promise. Not out of fear, as in afraid, but as in worshipful respect. If you stick to living out what He has taught and shared, you will be free from poverty, sickness, depression and thoughts of suicide. Operate in the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus so you can be free from the laws of sin and death! The grave will have no power or lure and death will have no sting.


“It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive–and–present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With His Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s! So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do–it–yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!” Romans 8:11-14 | MSG


You have a purpose and an assignment from the king. Put yourself into it and fulfillment will come from it and you will take the world by storm! You don’t owe that old man (your fleshly nature) one red cent! Your mouth is the new normal. His living Word in your lips create just like they did for God in Genesis. This is your day and your time. Flow!


My wife and I say this every Thursday morning in our devotion time before the Lord our King. “We are fellow heirs of the same body and partaking of the promises in the Blessing through The Word of the kingdom today because You are good: for Your mercy endureth forever.” Eph:3:6 (KJV)
